Toyota Landcruiser 200 Multi-terrain features make it the King of the ROad

By Jack Kates

Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is the King of the Off Road, Ruler tof the Road and equally comfortable in mountain tracks, forests, farms, outback, desert, wilderness, war field, country roads and highways. It is available in Right hand Drive from our Australia, New Zealand and UK offices and in Left Hand Drive from our Dubai and United States offices.

With the Multi-Terrain Select system (available on high-end models only), you can instantly change the vehicle’s settings to match the present road conditions from rocky slopes to dirt roads to open terrain at the flick of a switch. This system allows you to choose between five road condition modes: Rock; Rock and Dirt; Mogul; Loose Rock; and Mud and Sand.

Toyota Land Cruiser 200 lets you take on any track you want, at any time you like. Toyota’s designers have raised the bar when it comes to multi-terrain features that allow you to travel freely regardless of the surface conditions. Some multi-terrain features that make it an offroad marvel are Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), Multi-terrain ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), Landcruiser’s full-time 4WD  system with Torsen Limited Slip Centre Differential (LSD), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC).

One of these innovative technologies was the development of the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS). When negotiating uneven terrain, KDSS provides extra wheel articulation to maintain tyre contact with the ground for excellent off-road performance. This advanced system also reduces body roll during open road driving.

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) optimally adjusts the front and rear stabiliser bars based on the movement of hydraulic cylinders. High roll rigidity is provided to suppress body roll and give superior on-road perfomance while wheel articulation has been improved for excellent off-road traction. KDSS requires no power source.

Land Cruiser 200’s new Multi-terrain ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) takes ABS to a new level by adapting to different surface conditions such as dirt roads or mud filled trails and changing the ABS function automatically for each. The end result is a shorter stopping distance on almost any surface.

Landcruiser’s full-time 4WD  system with Torsen Limited Slip Centre Differential (LSD) along with its superbly engineered chassis and well established suspension make driving the Land Cruiser 200 a comfortable and rewarding experience.

Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) also provide a helping hand when the going gets steep and slippery.

All of this means that you can drive with absolute confidence in situations where one wrong move could be the difference between arriving safely or not. Land Cruiser 200 will effortlessly take you to the road less travelled…
